Franklin Furnace is delighted to announce a new section on our website, http://www.franklinfurnace.org/born_digital/born_digital.html
(then click “Franklin Furnace at Pseudo Program, Inc.” > “Launch FF @ Pseudo Programs, Inc.)
In the Spring of 1998, with the pioneering support of the NYSCA’s Presenting Arts Program, Franklin Furnace inaugurated its online presenting program with Franklin Furnace @ Pseudo Programs Inc., netcasts by ten performance artists accompanied by live “chat” sessions with the artists and/or chat jockeys at Pseudo. After the live netcast, the events were stored on Pseudo’s server so that viewers worldwide could see them at any time for the following six months. They were taken off Pseudo’s server, and lost to Franklin Furnace’s online archival record until now.
